Signing off your letters:

It is extremely important how you conclude your letter and examiners will definitely look into this while evaluating your answer sheet.

If you have started your letters with

Dear Mr. Honey= Your sincerely

Hi Jay or Dear Jay= See you soon / Take Care/ All the best

Always end up using your First Name and Last Name for Formal and Semi-formal letters. For personal letters you can just use your First name.

Spelling Mistakes:

It is vital that you check your spelling before moving on to your next task. Remember the evaluator will check your spellings as well.

Punctuation and Vocabulary:

Use of appropriate punctuation marks is also necessary. To score high band in IELTS writing task 1 vocabulary is also equally important.
